Northern-facing windows aren’t great for this plant, as there isn’t enough sunlight to support the growth as well, and you’ll notice that leaves are tiny, and the plant will hardly put out any growth at all. It gives the plant plenty of light, which helps keep the growth healthy, but also some direct sunlight, which helps the plant to be at its best. While I’d normally warn you against placing plants in sunny Southern-facing window sills, this sort of position is ideal for the String of Bananas.
